The Tax Accountant

All things tax - Lauren's skill of taking a problem and applying the tax law is rare. She not only displays great confidence in interpreting the tax law but can apply it to businesses circumstances without being  prompted. As long as she is aware of the current business position, the business owners will be aware of any tax considerations.  Lauren's true passion is being involved in tax research - through the multitude of different taxes and constant changes in legislation there is always something new for her to learn. No issue, tax concession, incentive or tax implication will be missed when Lauren is part of the team. 

Lauren's career goal is to achieve the best possible outcome for the businesses she works with by understanding the tax legislation and applying the various concessions and treatments to their business income. She wants to educate business owners about how important the planning stage for tax is, as her experience has proved how critical it can be to the final tax outcome. 

Lauren grew up in Ballarat and has had over 15 years experience in tax. She started at PwC where she specialised in tax, international assignments, employee share schemes and US tax. She opted for the country lifestyle and has since been an Associate of a small public practice firm, leading their tax department. She has a sought a new challenge in SALO which is reflected in her values of growth, honesty, kindness and competency.
